- After I upgraded from OS2.04 to OS3.1, I had to use the boot menu to change
- to NTSC to run Superbase Pro. Strangely, it didn't care that I have my screen
- set up to PAL, as long as I set it to NTSC in the boot menu. I tried
- different NTSC booting programs, but only the boot menu option worked.
-
- Since my mouse had turned a gross brown-green colour, and the wait clock was
- lime green, following advice I read on the newsgroups, I erased all the prefs
- defaults in my envarc:sys directory, and saved new ones using the 3.1 prefs.
- This solved my palette problem, but now SB Pro refuses to accept boot menu's
- NTSC selection.
-
- Right now, as a work around, I boot of a copy of Workbench 2.0, and it works
- find, but it is a pain.
-
- I know that there is a jumper on the A500's controlling whether the system
- boots in NTSC or PAL, and I am hoping that there is a similar jumper on the
- A500+, and that this will solve my problem. If somebody has any other
- suggestions, I welcome them.
